TL;DR — Your telemetry data stays on your machine.

SimTelemetry is a local-first application. When you record sessions, all telemetry data is stored locally on your computer. We don't collect it, we don't see it, and we can't access it.

What we collect

• Account info (optional) — If you create an account, we store your email and display name to provide cloud features like community sharing and AI analysis.
• Uploaded laps (optional) — When you explicitly choose to upload a lap to the community or for AI analysis, that lap data is sent to our servers. You control which laps get uploaded.
• Basic analytics — We use Vercel Analytics to understand page views and usage patterns. No personal data or telemetry data is included.

What we don't collect

• Your locally recorded telemetry sessions
• Your sim racing game data or configuration files
• Keystroke or input data from your hardware
• Any data that you haven't explicitly chosen to upload

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services: Vercel (hosting & analytics), Stripe (payments, if applicable), and AI providers for telemetry analysis. When you use AI analysis, the lap data you upload is sent to the AI provider for processing.

Data deletion

Local data — delete it anytime from your machine. Cloud data — contact us at support@simtelemetry.site and we'll delete your account and all associated data.

By using SimTelemetry, you agree to use it for personal, non-commercial sim racing telemetry analysis. You retain full ownership of your data.

Usage

• SimTelemetry is provided "as is" without warranty.
• You're responsible for your own data backups.
• Don't use the service to upload harmful, illegal, or copyrighted content to the community features.
• We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms.

Community features

When you upload laps publicly, other users can view and compare against your data. You can remove your public laps at any time.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify users of significant changes via the app or website.
